Diving Equipment Essex School of Diving in Colchester, Essex.

We can generally provide you with all the necessary SCUBA Diving Equipment to complete your diving courses with us.

We have 30 full sets of Scuba equipment, Forty, 12 litre air tanks. Thirty, men and women's 10mm Wet Suits of varying sizes and many Dry suits of various sizes. And many more periphery items, fins, masks etc.

Included in our equipment we have specialist equipment for children. (10 years up)

Our Scuba equipment is regularly checked, serviced and in good working order. Our equipment is transported to and from our training sessions and open water events buy a purpose made trailer to maintain the equipments good condition.

We provide all our own air refills from our twin whip Hamworthy compressor which is maintained and regularly serviced along with air purity certification tests. We do not supply air refills to the general public.

A Standard Set of Diving Equipment consists of:

Mask and Snorkel
BCD (Buoyancy Control Device)
Set of Regulators with Alternate and Submersible Pressure Gauge/Air Supply
Weight Belt & Weights
Pair of Fins
Tank of Air

We also supply a range of wetsuits or dry suits (extra charge for dry suits) on request for Open Water Training purposes only. There will be occasions where we do not have the correct size of exposure suit required. In this rare instance, you will be required to hire a suitable exposure suit at your own cost or provide your own.

In general, we do not sell or hire out diving equipment unless for our training purposes, but should you wish to purchase equipment, we have some good contacts for all makes of Diving equipment supplied by our Dive Shop contacts.

You are always welcome to use your own Scuba equipment on our courses provided it meets with our approval and is the correct equipment for the course.

At the time of this posting ( Jan 2013) there are no Dive Shops in Colchester to purchase air refills or diving equipment, the nearest being Ipswich or Chelmsford.
